For the young oppressed peoples of today that think capitalism is not working for them and has never worked, I recommend looking back into history and you will see clear evidence where capitalism has worked and worked well.
My grandmother’s mother passed away when Nanna was just 14 yo - as a result Nanna had to go into service. So many children of her generation and before were forced either into service in their early teens or forced into some other form of labour in order to help provide for their families.
Education, although recognised as important, had to take a back step, simply for families to survive.
Capitalism enabled poorer people to rise up and out of their situations, enabled their children to gain an education, enabled them to do further training to better their lives.
Today, the entitlement of the younger generations, believing they are oppressed, believing they need mental health days, believing they are oppressed simply because an older generation will not pander to ...
People say democrats have been hijacked by the socialists. I say the socialists have been hijacked by the Islamists. Socialism is just simply an ECONOMIC system. So why then are these new socialists all rabidly antisemetic and anti-Israel? The Islamists in Qatar, Saudi Arabia and elsewhere know they can’t beat Israel militarily as long as Israel is our ally. And they can’t beat the US militarily, period. So instead, they fund these radical candidates/groups/podcasters/universities in order to break our support for Israel and to destroy America from within. They are NOT “democratic” socialists, they’re Islamic socialists, and that's why democrats are so afraid to stand up to them.
