When I was young in KC a friend of mines dad was in upper management at the Claycomo Ford Plant.
We were havin beers one nite and the subject of the high wages at the plant and why do they get so much money .
He explained that at most it is a $7.50 a hour job , the rest is what they pay for boredom , not that it was a hard job , not that it was a dangerous job , not that it was a skilled labor job , but that it was a boring job.
So we pay all that money for a new car because it is boring to build one .
The unions had their use at one time , no longer , now they are just the extorsion arm of labor .
