THIS is from Chris, and its a great one:
what band should have made it king, but never really took off."
i'll go first with screaming blue messiahs. they were like a cross between the clash and a Jim Thompson novel.
their first albums is an absolute classic (Wild Blue Yonder), and their second one (Bikini Red) kicks ass. you can find live shows on Youtube. Bill Carter is was of the most hypnotic wild-eyed lead singer and guitarist ever.
They had fans as different as Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, and ...me.
Bowie was such a fan he hired them to open for him during the Glass Spider tour.
I've interviewed Carter before. and he's residing in a coastal town in england.
i wish they got bigger, but i love that their my best kept musical secret.
so what are you yours?
the band that should have been bigger than it was -- take it away!

@Dylwa77 If you were granted a wish to learn the truth about one controversial event, what would it be?
@APalm Do you remember a time that you succumbed to peer pressure, or resisted it?
Congratulations to @hillcatgut. Your question was chosen for tonight’s Ask Greg and the Panelists.
@hillcatgut Name an actor or politician that you met - was your impression of them different than their public persona.
