Sunday Morning Funnies . . . Happy Mother’s Day! 🤔 Mom and I used to do so many things together . . .
60 hours
My step dad had brain surgery Thursday morning, and 60 hours later he was sitting at my kitchen table eating homemade enchiladas. It was a very stressful week starting Monday morning when he was taken to the hospital with stroke like symptoms. He had a fall we suspect back in February and had bleeding that built up over 2 months. Thursday morning after all the clearance was given, they opened up his scalp, drilled 2 holes the size of a nickel and removed dried up blood and Saturday we brought him home.
We had some amazing doctors and nurses and my daughter which is also a nurse came in town and stayed with him through the whole process, she was our rock star this week.
He is moving around fine on his own and we start next week with follow up appointments.
Pretty tough ole guy for being 87. His question to the brain surgeon yesterday as we were checking out, “ when can I return to playing golf?”
