We all know who the obvious heroes of 2020 are: the first responders, the people working on vaccines, the people who work the liquor stores when everything else is closed.
that's easy.
but what about the people who unintentionally make our lives better?
they didn't mean to do it - they just did - thru their mistakes.
for example:
-hilaria baldwin. she's a hero because she finally provided us with a story we all can laugh along with. Her pretending to be Spanish gave all of us a chance to poke fun of her, during the otherwise, worst news of the century. We needed her pretentious lies to make us smile.
she had a rough christmas, so we could have a fun one.
-the "karen" in the park. Remember that lady who called the police on the black guy because he told her to put her dog on the leash? So why is she a hero? Because her irrational misguided panic reminds us, that as humans, we all are capable of this.
Who hasn't snapped at people for no reason? or misidentified a culprit where there is none. The worst feeling you can experience, is when you falsely accuse someone of something. it's the worst. When someone else does it, remind yourself that you've done it too - and do it less. or not at all.
-Jeffrey Toobin. We don't need to rehash what he did. but what he did served as a red flag- or a reminder - that anything embarrassing can be accidentally recorded. in his case its humiliating.
but his humiliation now reminds millions of men - and women - to check your lap top after every zoom call. I check my computer when i'm filming anything now.
so you see what i mean by "unintentional heroes."

The stores are finally loaded with hatch green chilies. I mixed mild and medium chilies so that Mark won’t have an out of body experience. Hoping I make enough for leftovers tomorrow.

We were in Reno all week and ate out A LOT, so I am really looking forward to a good homemade meal tonight. We did have a nice anniversary steak dinner at the Atlantis Casino Steakhouse-starting with a spinach salad cooked right at our table, followed by steak and mashed potatoes. Oh, and wine. Can not forget that. We finished the evening with Affogato. Pretty good celebration.
And yes, the horrible Hawk fire in North Reno started just a couple days after we arrived. Pray they get it under control soon.
If you watched the Five the past 15 years, you'd heard perhaps unknowingly, the Cramps. I've played their songs hundreds of times, over the years - often my favorite songs of theirs repeatedly, hoping to create new fans of the greatest rock and roll band ever.
the band ended with Lux Interior's death - and since then most of the integral players have either expired or moved on. Guitarist Poison Ivy has led a fairly reclusive life, likely not getting much from the Cramps legendary status.
Maybe until now. Thanks to Henry Rollins - a massive Cramps fan - he's resurrected the Cramps old label Vengeance records, and released a collection of old songs from a late 70' studio session, done back during the recording of classic album "songs the lord taught us." Produced by Alex Chilton and done on a shoe-string in Memphis - its controlled madness. the record "Gravest Gravy" came out last week, so I picked up both digital and vinyl - knowing that Ivy is gunna see some of that dough.

Jesse's interview with Abdul was hard to listen to. That socialist Islamist kept rambling about "affordability". How will things become more affordable:
- if the government spends $4Trillion in taxpayer money on medicare for all?
- if the government spends $Billions in taxpayer money on reparations?
- if the labor and housing markets are flooded with millions more illegals?
- if sharia law is implemented and half the workforce is prohibited from participating because they're female?
- if fossil fuels are banned?
- if "billionaires" and corporations are taxed into relocating overseas?
Time is not on Abdul's side. The more he talks, the more unelectable he becomes, and the more damage he does to the democrat party.
