Musical Milestones from this day in Rock & Roll History

1951 Rosemary Clooney's "Come On A My House" hits #1 in America.

1966 Frank Sinatra's Strangers In The Night album hits #1 in America.

1968 The up-and-coming UK band The Iveys sign to the Beatles' label Apple Records, which rechristens them Badfinger. They become the first signing to generate hits for the label, but their story does not end well as Apple falls apart and Badfinger ends up in a legal hell that drives two members to suicide.

Not sure if any of you remember about me posting about visiting my Mom last year. We spent the day picking up sticks in the yard, because she hates a messy yard. She was little lost sometimes, but in robust health for her age.

This year she is getting very thin, and asks me "who are you" half the time when I walk into the room. I just give her a hug and say "I am your loving son Tom, from North Carolina" and she will say something like "OOOhhh, Tommy". And she will smile at me and hug me back. She was the only one who ever called me "Tommy"

When I would facetime with her on the phone I didn't get the impression she had lost so much but now it hurts.

At least she's not saying sadly all the time "I wish the Lord would take me."

Anyway...I always try and get some useful stuff done while I am down, and since my brother got a new puppy...Goose...I decided from the looks and the smell that the carpets needed cleaning. So, without further ado...pictures of Goose, Goose and my brother...
