spent 7 hours cooking a brisket. it turned out pretty awesome.
cooked it an hour per pound, plus some extra. soaked it in coffee the last few hours in the egg. the meat was insanely tender - perfect. but some of it was stringy. you know what i mean? thoughts on that?

If Trump is going to keep playing games with Ukraine, & Russia keeps bombing, the only thing left is to take all of Ukraine back! No more of this or that! The Ukrainian Government is so corrupt, almost as bad as the US, but Putin needs put in his place, & Europe needs to deal with it! Trump needs to get out of it, & let the cards fall where they lay! And tell Europe, if you don't deal with it, & Russia comes after you, don't come running to the US! Europe, it's like being on welfare, if your not willing to help yourself, don't ask for help from any other country!
With everything going on, I hadn't gotten anything for Christmas to Zack's grave and was feeling like such a bad mom that his grave was bare leading up to Christmas. When we finally got our little decorated rosemary plant out there on the 27th, I was truly overjoyed to see he'd been remembered by Wreaths Across America. I'd somehow forgotten that he was made both an Honorary Marine and an Honorary Navy SEAL, because those were his dreams of serving before the cancer changed the plans. We got up there and there had been a wreath laid on his grave since December 13th. Ken and I have often thought if we hadn't lost him to cancer, at home on hospice surrounded by loved ones he could have been killed the same day in Afghanistan, far away from home.
Praying for everyone else who's missing someone in this Christmas season.
